Chelsea winger Willian has played down reports that he was interested in a move to Paris Saint-Germain in the summer and has stated he would love to see out his footballing career with Chelsea, according to The Guardian.
The Brazilian has been one of Chelsea’s best and most consistent players since rejecting a move to Tottenham and joining the Blues for £30m in 2013, making over 140 appearances for the club.
It appears as though the 28-year-old is looking to make a few more, suggesting it would be an honour to finish his career at a club with the stature of Chelsea.
Playing down reports linking him with a move to PSG, he said:
I read some things in the press on this topic but personally, I never received a concrete offer. My family feels good in London, I am growing in a team that plays beautiful football…It would be a privilege to finish my career at a club as big as Chelsea.
Willian and Brazilian teammate Oscar return to the league with Chelsea this weekend, after the former started and scored in Brazil’s 2-0 victory over Venezuela this morning, after coming on as a substitute in Brazil’s 5-0 win against Bolivia at the weekend, while the latter did not feature in either fixture.
