Eden Hazard believes he and the rest of the team should be incredibly pleased with their performance during Saturday’s 3-0 victory over Leicester City.
Diego Costa grabbed his seventh goal of the campaign to open the scoring before Hazard rounded Kasper Schmeichel to double the Blues’ lead before half-time.
Victor Moses grabbed a third after a sublime assist from Nathaniel Chalobah and Hazard told Chelsea’s official website that the squad were very happy with the result:
We are all satisfied, especially with the first-half. We pressed a lot, we created some chances. We scored three goals, we could have scored more, but after the international games it is always good to come back to Stamford Bridge and win in front of our fans. It was a good day for Chelsea.

Antonio Conte employed a 3-4-3 formation for the second league match running and kept a clean sheet for the second match running following Chelsea’s 2-0 win over Hull City prior to the international break.
And Hazard praised Chelsea’s recent defensive efforts, revealing it gives the team a boost knowing you can keep a clean sheet.
Following on from his comment about Saturday’s win being a “good day for Chelsea,” the Belgian continued:
Like against Hull City, when you don’t concede goals you know it is easier to win games.

When you are strong defensively you bring confidence to all the team, and it is more easy to score goals.
Furthermore, Hazard revealed how he is perhaps benefitting the most in Conte’s new system as he now plays in the same role for both club and country, in a position where he can be more of a threat.
Hazard followed up his two goals for Belgium during the international break with a composed finish against Leicester, and see’s no reason why he can’t keep finding the back of the net.
It is always good to be on the scoresheet. I am a striker so I try every game to score and my confidence is good. I scored two goals for the national team and one this weekend and I hope to score more in the next game.

I play more inside the pitch and we play also this system in the national team. For the strikers, we have more freedom, and even when we lose the ball if we press together we can get it back, and it is good system for Chelsea. We know what the manager wants. I think we can do better but we need to work in training and that is what we will do.
