Chelsea host Manchester United on Sunday in one of the most eagerly awaited matches of the season so far.
Jose Mourinho is returning to Stamford Bridge for the first time since being sacked by Chelsea last December, following a dreadful start to the 2015/16 campaign.
It will be only the second time Antonio Conte and Mourinho have faced off as opposing managers, with the first coming in a 1-1 draw between Conte’s Atalanta and Mourinho’s Inter Milan in a Serie A fixture in 2009.
Chelsea have recorded a higher number of victories against United than any other team in the Premier League with 18, but can Conte make it 19 this weekend, in what will surely be a game neither side will want to lose.
The Blues head into the clash in confident mood following back-to-back wins and clean sheet’s against Hull and Leicester respectively, under Conte’s new 3-4-3 formation.
United meanwhile saw off Fenerbahce in confident fashion, with a 4-1 victory in the Europa League on Thursday, following their goalless draw with Liverpool on Monday night.
Conte revealed Cesc Fabregas and Branislav Ivanovic will both miss this weekend’s clash with United due to small muscular injuries, while he will assess what frame of mind Willian and Oscar are in now they have both returned from compassionate leave.
So with that in mind, who will Conte start against United, and in what formation? Here’s what we think.
