Former Chelsea striker Tony Cascarino has hailed Antonio Conte for his management of Victor Moses, helping him to cement a starting place in the line-up as a wing-back, the Evening Standard can report.
Antonio Conte’s switch to a 3-4-3 formation has proved to be successful but the new Chelsea head coach’s best move was playing Victor Moses as a right wing back.
Moses has looked like a man on a mission since Conte’s arrival at Stamford Bridge and he managed to bag his first goal of the season not so long ago in Chelsea’s 3-0 battering over Leicester City.
He offers a threat going forward down the right and also works very hard tracking back.
The Nigerian wide man has flourished in his new role, operating out on the right flank as a more defensively based winger, allowing him to link the play down the line between the defence and the attacking trio.
Moses has not had the greatest of tenures with Chelsea, as he’s seen himself travel far and wide to find first-team football through three loan spells away with Liverpool, West Ham and Stoke.
However, it now looks as though Conte sees a lot of potential in Moses as a wing-back and Cascarino has certainly shown his approval.
