Chelsea made it four wins from four in the Premier League after beating Southampton 2-0 at St. Mary’s Stadium.
An early goal from Eden Hazard opened the scoring for Chelsea, who stayed resolute after going in front.
Diego Costa made it two for Chelsea with a fantastic curling effort that left Fraser Forster with no chance.
The Spaniard found the bottom corner in the 55th minute, which means he now has eight goals to his name this season. He’s now ahead of Manchester City’s Sergio Aguero and is the league’s top goal scorer.
It was a fourth straight clean sheet for Antonio Conte’s men, who were unchanged from their 4-0 win at home to Manchester United last weekend.
The win moves Chelsea into the top four and just one point away from the league’s joint-three leaders, Manchester City, Arsenal and Liverpool.
