Kurt Zouma and Marco Van Ginkel stepped up their respective recoveries from injury on Monday evening, as the pair both featured for just over an hour for Chelsea’s Under-23’s.
Zouma made his second appearance for the U23’s after playing 45 minutes in a 2-2 draw with Derby last week, whilst Van Ginkel made his first appearance since picking up a knee injury in August.
The pair helped Chelsea start quickly and the Blues took an early lead through Dujon Sterling, before Everton’s Harry Charsley levelled the score before half-time.

The pair were substituted just after the hour mark as they step-up their individual recoveries and may feature again for the U23’s in next Tuesday’s Checkatrade Trophy clash with Oxford United.
Zouma improved on his performance from the 2-2 draw with Derby last week when the Frenchman gave away a first-half penalty in the tie.
Chelsea’s senior side host Everton at Stamford Bridge this weekend, looking to make it five consecutive victories in the league.
