According to Philip Harmeling, via the Express, Chelsea have approached Borussia Mönchengladbach about signing Thorgan Hazard.
Chelsea sold Hazard to Mönchengladbach at the start of last season, after he spent a successful year on loan to the German outfit.
He has since gone on to play 86 matches for the club, scoring 18 goals and assisting 18 goals in that time. This has led to interest from Chelsea, who are keen to bring him back to the club.

Chelsea inserted a buy-back option when they sold him to Mönchengladbach. This is thought to be worth between £16-18m, and means that they have the chance to bring him back to London for that set fee.
However, Harmeling claims that Hazard has no interest in re-joining the club – despite a change in management since his time with the Blues.
Chelsea are keen to make a move for Hazard in the January window, but it looks as though Hazard will be staying put for the time being.
