Chelsea captain John Terry is reportedly weighing up his options amidst reports in the Daily Mail suggesting Chinese Super League club Guangzhou Evergrande are set to offer the defender a staggering contract at the end of the season.
The 35-year-old’s current deal with the Blues expires in the summer but Terry could sign another one-year extension with the club, though that may depend on how much playing time the defender gets this season.
Guangzhou, managed by former Chelsea boss Luis Felipe Scolari, are said to be willing to offer Terry an eye-watering £8million-per-season contract should the Chelsea skipper call time on his brilliant career at Stamford Bridge.

And though Terry is an ambassador for the Chinese side, he has also started on his coaching badges as he begins planning for life after his playing career, and could seek his first managerial move rather than a move to China.
The Chelsea skipper is now fully fit after recovering from an ankle injury he sustained in the 2-2 draw with Swansea at the beginning of September, but faces a stern challenge to regain his place in Antonio Conte’s starting 11.
The Blues were the only team from Europe’s top five league to keep a clean sheet in every league match in October, and Terry’s lack of pace in the new 3-4-3 system was exploited in Chelsea’s league cup defeat to West Ham last month.
Terry, however, will be eager to regain his place in Chelsea’s back-line ahead of Saturday’s clash with Everton.
