Crystal Palace boss Alan Pardew has categorically ruled out a move for Chelsea defender Branislav Ivanovic in January, as per the Mirror.
The 32-year-old Serbian has made 369 appearances for the Blues since joining the club in 2008, scoring 33 goals, but a calf injury lately has coincided with Chelsea’s moving from a back four to a back three and Ivanovic has lost his place in the side.
With the emergence of Victor Moses and the returns of John Terry and Kurt Zouma, Ivanovic has a tough battle ahead of him to break back into the side.
Ivanovic was linked with a lucrative move to the Chinese Super League lately, as well as a move to Selhurst Park but Alan Pardew has quashed claims that he’s interested in the veteran right-back.
“There is no interest from us at all,” said Pardew.
West Ham have also been linked with a move for Ivanovic, but seeing as the defender provides great cover for the squad, it wouldn’t be wise to let him go mid-season.
