Chelsea host Everton this evening in search of their fifth consecutive victory in the league.
The Blues won all four league matches in October without conceding a goal, and moved to within one point of joint league leaders Manchester City, Liverpool and Arsenal after last weekend’s 2-0 win away to Southampton.
Everton meanwhile have been perfectly inconsistent in their last six league games; winning two, drawing two and losing two.
Antonio Conte’s switch to a 3-4-3 formation was a major part of the Blues’ resurgence in form in October, as Chelsea looked well drilled and were relatively untroubled in the league throughout the month.
Conte’s system did come unstuck in the EFL Cup against West Ham, as he attempted to use the same formation with a rotated squad which ultimately ended in a 2-1 defeat.
Romelu Lukaku returns to Stamford Bridge this evening in confident fashion, looking to breach a defence that has not conceded a goal in their last four league matches.
The Belgian is just one goal behind Diego Costa in the scoring charts this season with seven, and will be looking to add to the brace he scored against the Blues in the FA Cup last season.
Here’s who we think will start against Everton.
