Chelsea manager Antonio Conte is plotting a move for Inter Milan midfielder Geoffrey Kondogbia in January, according to the Mirror.
The report says that Conte is looking to bolster his midfield options and sees Kondogbia as the ideal target, as well as Sevilla’s Steven N’Zonzi.
Conte is not planning to hand Jon Obi Mikel a new contract at the end of the season and is also looking to move Cesc Fabregas on in the winter window. This means that Chelsea’s midfield options will begin to wear thin.

Bringing in Kondogbia would help add to Chelsea’s strength-in-depth, which is exactly what Conte is trying to do.
Chelsea’s efforts will be boosted by Kondogbia’s unrest in Italy. Inter have had a turbulent season in Serie A and sit ninth in the league at present. This has led to Kondogbia wanting out of the San Siro – with Chelsea a possible destination in January.
