Chelsea and Tottenham will battle it out in an attempt to sign Fiorentina midfielder Milan Badelj, according to a report from Lewis Winter of The Star.
The 27-year-old Croatian international is apparently desperate to leave the Serie A side and has apparently considered buying out his contract, such is his desire to force through a move.
He moved to Fiorentina in 2014 but is keen to secure a transfer away and it looks like the two Premier League rivals are keen to help him get his wish.
However, both sides are well stocked in the midfield department so it’s unclear if they just want to bolster their squads or if somebody might be allowed to move on.
There are no obvious players at Spurs who could leave the club, unlike Chelsea, where Cesc Fabregas looks set to move on in the near future with a loan move to West Ham seemingly on the cards.
