Premier League football returns this weekend, and Chelsea are away to newly promoted side Middlesbrough on Sunday afternoon.
Chelsea are currently second in the table, following the 5-0 demolition over Everton before the international break. The Blues have won five Premier League games in a row, and are yet to drop points since changing to the new 3-4-3 formation.
This is Boro’s first season back in the Premier League since the 2008/09 season, where current England boss Gareth Southgate was unable to save them from relegation. Under Aitor Karanka, they currently sit in 15th place, one point off the drop zone.
This fixture between the two sides hasn’t been a common occurrence in the past few years, with Middlesbrough languishing in the Championship, before their return to the Premier League.
With the fixture coming up, we take a look at the last five results between the two sides, and see how Chelsea got on in each game.
