According to a report from La Gazetta Dello Sport, Chelsea are interested in Atalanta youngster Mattia Caldara.
The central defender has stood out for Atalanta this season in Serie A, with some powerful defensive performances and a couple of goals catching the eye of many scouts across Europe.
These impressive displays have earned Caldara plenty of plaudits and it’s subsequently attracted plenty of interest from elsewhere.
Antonio Conte is said to be looking at bringing his young compatriot to Stamford Bridge in the near future as he continues to build up a strong and dominant Chelsea side.
However, The Blues must act fast if they are to seal a deal for Caldara in the near future, with interest intensifying in recent times.
The report suggests that along with Serie A giants Juventus, Premier League trio Manchester United, Manchester City and Arsenal are all interested in signing the young defender.
