Chelsea have made a £21.3million bid for Atlanta midfielder Franck Kessie, according to reports.
The 20-year-old was a rumoured target for the Blues in the summer but a deal never materialised, however, it looks like Antonio Conte has decided that now is the time to make a bid.
Atlanta are having a very good season so far and Kessie is a major reason for that, scoring six goals in 16 Serie A matches.
The Italian side won’t be keen to sell one of their best players as they are keen to push for a Champions League place but Chelsea’s bid might be too much for both the club and the player to turn down.
Manchester United and Juventus have both been links with moves for the 20-year-old in recent weeks but Chelsea having seemingly tried to beat them both by putting in an actual bid before the window even opens.
