According to reports from Football-Italia, Bayern Munich, Chelsea, and Paris Saint-Germain are all battling for the signature of Napoli fullback Faouzi Ghoulam.
The left-back only has a year and a half remaining on his contract which is worth only €800,000 per year. Napoli are keen on keeping hold of the 25-year-old Algerian and are set to offer a new contract, doubling his wages.
But Ghoulam is holding out for €2.5 million per year, and Europe’s elite are more than willing to meet his financial demands.
With Chelsea head coach Antonio Conte indicating that he is interested in adding another back to the squad and his familiarity with the Serie A, perhaps Ghoulam will soon be swapping Italy for the English capital.
Napoli, currently in third place in the Serie A, may be reluctant to sell a key player while fighting for Champions League qualification, meaning a transfer may be more likely during the summer window.
