Pundit says Terry should move to Bournemouth on loan

Gerry Francis says there is a possibility that John Terry could leave Chelsea on loan this month, with Bournemouth interested in the club captain.

Speaking about Terry, while on Sky Sports, as reported by the Daily Star, Francis claimed the move could work for him.

John would be a great asset to any club so I don’t see any negatives from a loan point of view.

A player like Terry could certainly have a positive impact on a team like Bournemouth, and having had very limited League appearances this season, it is possible that Terry may seek regular first-team football.

The former England international continued by saying:

If there was an avenue in terms of him going on loan and not leaving his beloved Chelsea, I think that would be a possibility for him.

Such a move would come as a shock, but having seen Arsenal midfielder, Jack Wilshere make an unlikely move to Bournemouth at the start of this season and flourish, it wouldn’t be wise to rule out a similar move for the Chelsea captain.

Terry has previously stated his reluctance to play for another Premier League team, but a short-term move to a team that isn’t a direct rival to Chelsea could be a viable option for him. Terry’s contract is up at the end of the season and regular game time between now and then may extend his career.

It is being reported that Terry is unlikely to leave the club on loan, with the defender focused on staying at Stamford Bridge and aiding the club’s title push this season.
