Diego Costa has returned to Chelsea first-team training after spending the last few days away from the group, Sky Sports understand.
The striker and manager Antonio Conte had an argument in training last week and following the heated exchange Costa was banished from the session and was dropped for Chelsea’s 3-0 win over Leicester.
Costa had been complaining about an ongoing back issue but there were fears behind the scenes that the striker had his eyes on a lucrative move to the Chinese Super League with Tianjin Quanjian which was believed to have fuelled the feud between himself and Conte.
Super agent Jorge Mendes, who represents many of europe’s biggest stars including Costa, travelled to China to hold talks over a move to big-spending Tianjin last week.
Shu Yuhui, the club’s owner, has confirmed reports that Mendes made a special visit to China to discuss a move for the 28-year-old but any potential transfer remains dead in the water for now.
Today, Costa was brought back into the first-team training sessions at their Cobham base after making peace with Conte and he is in contention to face Hull this weekend.
