Chelsea can continue their impressive league form with a win over fellow Premier League title challengers and London rivals Arsenal on Saturday, at Stamford Bridge.
Following a 1-1 draw away to Liverpool in midweek, Chelsea extended their gap at the top to nine points. David Luiz’s free-kick was cancelled out by a Georginio Wijnaldum header. Antonio Conte will be hoping to extend the gap with a win over Arsenal at the weekend.
Arsenal currently sit in third, behind Tottenham on goal difference, and nine points behind the Blues. The Gunners lost in midweek, with Watford shocking Arsenal at the Emirates, winning 2-1.
In the reverse fixture earlier this season, Arsenal were comfortable winners at the Emirates. Goals from Alexis Sanchez, Theo Walcott, and Mesut Ozil gave Arsenal a 3-0 win over Chelsea. This loss, however, marked the start of Conte’s 3-4-3 formation and a run of 13 consecutive wins.
With Chelsea’s fixture against Arsenal coming up, we take a look at the possible threats Arsenal pose to Chelsea.
