Hazard hails Arsenal goal as one of his best

Eden Hazard has hailed his second-half goal against Arsenal at Stamford Bridge on Saturday as one of the best he’s scored in his career.

Chelsea ran out convincing winners, with a 3-1 victory over Arsenal on Saturday. The team put in an industrious and entertaining performance, outplaying Arsenal in every department on the day.

Just eight minutes into the second half and Hazard doubled the Blues’ lead. The Belgian magician picked up the ball in his own half, before setting off on a weaving run, seeing off challenges from four Arsenal defenders and chipping the ball over a helpless Petr Cech.

Talking about his match-winning goal to Chelsea TV, as reported by Sky Sports, Hazard described his satisfaction with his solo effort.

I score a few goals, a few beautiful goals. But this is one is special. It’s against Arsenal and we won the game. This is one of the best.

The winger also noted the significance of the goal in terms of what it means for the title race and expressed his desire to remain on top.

The gap is big now. We want to stay there, top of the league forever.

Hazard says that the team are playing well, but, despite the 12 point gap ahead of Arsenal, he knows that they cannot get carried away with themselves and must maintain concentration.

We are full of confidence. We don’t want to focus too far [ahead]. We take game after game and be ready for the next one

The Belgian finished by looking ahead to Chelsea’s next opponents, Burnley. He is aware of the threat that Burnley pose at home and knows that the team can’t afford to be complacent.

Now it’s important to celebrate this win, but then, it’s important to think next game against Burnley, a really tough game, because Burnley when they play at home are dangerous.

matchday.
