Chelsea are ready to join the race for Borussia Monchengladbach midfielder Mahmoud Dahoud, according to reports.
The 21-year-old’s contract with the Bundesliga side expires in 2018 so the likelihood is that he’ll be sold in the summer and, as reported by Ed Aarons of the Guardian, Chelsea are one of the parties interested in him,
As well as the Blues and Liverpool, some of Europe’s biggest clubs also have their eyes on Dahoud.

Borussia Dortmund, Juventus and Paris Saint-Germain are all said to monitoring the German midfielder so it looks like there could be some type of bidding war come the end of the season.
Liverpool reportedly tried to sign Dahoud last summer but Monchengladbach refused to let him go as they’d already sold Granit Xhaka to Arsenal.
Having been linked with Franck Kessie in January, it appears that Antonio Conte will be in the market for a midfielder this summer, it just remains to be seen who he can bring in.
