Chelsea have agreed terms with Monaco midfielder Tiemoue Bakayoko ahead of a summer move, Guillem Balague has claimed.

The Frenchman has been in sublime form this season in Ligue 1 and has been a key player for Monaco in their Champions League campaign so far, helping them reach the quarter-finals of the competition in the process. He also scored a vital goal in the round of 16 clash against Chelsea’s Premier League counterparts Manchester City, sending them out of the tournament.

Given Balague’s comments on Chelsea now needing to pay more than any of Bakayoko’s other potential suitors, it looks as though there could be a bidding war on the cards given just how good the powerful midfielder has been so far this season, meaning that interest in his services ahead of next season could be considerably large.
