Ahead of a busy campaign next season, where Chelsea look set to be defending Premier League champions, Antonio Conte will want to address a number of specific areas in his squad.
One area he’ll be keen to look at is the wing-back positions. Ever since the change to the 3-4-3, Victor Moses and Marcos Alonso have been in inspired form for the Blues, but have had to fight off the critics as some fans search for a fashionable name to play that position.
With the added Champions League football that next season will bring, the Blues will for sure, need extra depth in their squad.
Conte has previously tried Spanish winger Pedro at wing-back but the former Barcelona man flourishes in a more advanced role, and prior to Nathan Ake’s return to the club, both players have been largely unchallenged in that position.
Ake’s long-term future also appears to be in a more central role, so depth is clearly needed. Here’s a number of wing-backs the club could target.
