Chelsea are stepping up their pursuit of Arsenal attacker Alexis Sanchez and look to have opened negotiations with the player’s representatives.
According to a report from French news outlet RMC Sport, both the Blues and Ligue 1 giants PSG have made contact with Sanchez’s entourage and are looking to seal a move for the Chilean international in the coming summer transfer window.
Sanchez has been the subject of plenty of scrutiny in recent times at the Emirates, with it being largely suggested that the versatile forward is unhappy with his situation in North London and wants to move on to bigger and better things.
However, the report states that if the Gunners are forced to sell Sanchez, they’d prefer it not to be to a Premier League rival.
It’s claimed that Arsenal will only welcome offers of €50 million and above, and an exit from the Emirates is becoming ‘more and more likely’ this summer.
