Chelsea host Southampton at Stamford Bridge in the Premier League as they look to maintain their lead over Tottenham at the top of the table.

Barring any late injury, Luiz is expected start at the heart of the back three, where he has excelled this season.

Luiz was named in the PFA Team of the Year last week, along with teammate Gary Cahill, and has been one of the best defenders in the league this season.

The former PSG man has been a key part of Chelsea’s 13 league clean sheets, and was superb as they booked their place in the FA Cup final at the weekend against Tottenham.

Luiz had lost his place in the Brazil team after some sub-par performances but could force his way back in with a good display tonight.
