AC Milan are keen to keep Chelsea loanee Mario Pašalić beyond the end of the season, according to reports in Italy.
According to Calciomercato, Milan coach Vincenzo Montella has already asked the Milan hierarchy to go out and buy the Croatian midfielder, although it won’t be easy to pry him from the London club.
The 22-year old has been a mainstay in the Rossoneri first-team this season, scoring four goals in 24 appearances for Montella’s men, and Montella is eager for him to stay at the San Siro for next season.
However, Antonio Conte is believed to be a big admirer of the Croatia international, and it will take some convincing for the Italian to sanction a move for Pašalić.

Pašalić signed for Chelsea in the summer of 2014 from Croatian side Hajduk Split but has yet to make a senior appearance for The Blues.
With just over a year left on his contract at Stamford Bridge, Chelsea may be keen to cash in on Pašalić in the summer. However, with Cesc Fàbregas’ future up in the air, Conte may well seek to keep him in London for next season.
