By scoring against Southampton on Tuesday night, Diego Costa reached 50 Premier League goals for Chelsea. The striker has now scored 51 times 85 appearances in the league for the Blues.
Costa has become the eighth quickest player in the league’s history to reach the 50 goal tally, beating players such as former Liverpool striker Luis Suarez and ex-Arsenal player Ian Wright.
Only one former Chelsea player has a quicker record than Costa; Dutch striker Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink, who scored 50 league goals in 84 appearances, one fewer than Costa.
