Chelsea are reportedly still leading the race to sign AS Monaco midfielder Tiemoue Bakayoko.
According to a report from the Daily Mail, the Blues are in pole position to land the Frenchman despite the heavy amount of interest teams across the continent are taking in him.
The defensive midfielder has been a vital cog of the impressive Monaco side this season, helping them to a lot of success under Leonardo Jardim and emerging as the surprise package of European football.

It’s claimed in the report that Jardim and his men behind the scenes at Monaco are resigned to losing Bakayoko this summer and have identified promising Anderlecht midfielder Youri Tielemans as the ideal replacement.
This means that it’s likely that the defensive midfielder will seek pastures new in the summer transfer window and he certainly won’t be short of potential suitors.
Chelsea are known to be admirers of Bakayoko and could very well bring him to Stamford Bridge this summer.
