Chelsea are reportedly setting their sights on a summer move for Napoli defender Kalidou Koulibaly, and will look to use Kenneth Omeruo as a makeweight in a deal.
According to a report today from the Mirror, the Blues are looking to make further progress in their pursuit of the powerful defender and will look to tempt Napoli into a deal by offering money and Omeruo.
It’s stated in the report that the young Nigerian defender will be offered to Maurizio Sarri’s side on loan for the 2017/18 campaign, while Koulibaly makes the switch to Stamford Bridge.
The 25-year-old has been imperious under Sarri for Napoli this season and seems to have come on leaps and bounds since his move to the Serie A, and has developed his technical ability very clearly.
Chelsea are looking to bolster their defence this summer but will need to cough up a reported figure of £60 million to lure the Senegal international away from Napoli.
