Cesc Fabregas was a major part of Chelsea’s 2014/15 title-winning season under Jose Mourinho after arriving from Barcelona, providing an incredible 19 assists as the Blues secured a fourth Premier League crown.
Fast forward two years and Fabregas was in and out of the Chelsea team in the early days of the Antonio Conte regime, making just four Premier League appearances between August and November.
Things have changed for Fabregas, who has battled his way back into Conte’s thoughts having appeared in some capacity in every league game since the start of December, scoring four goals and providing eight assists.
Over the last few months, there has been ongoing talk that AC Milan are keen to complete a £30m transfer for the Spaniard but according to the London Evening Standard, Fabregas will reject the advances of the Serie A giants in favour of staying at Stamford Bridge.
Fabregas turns 30 later this week and has two years remaining on his contract at Chelsea who plan on bringing in £40m-rated Monaco central midfielder Tiemoue Bakayoko in the summer, adding further competition.
