Chelsea have been reportedly interested in Cedric Soares for a couple of months now, but new reports suggest they are looking set to step up their interest in the Southampton man.
He’s been one of the Saints’ most consistent performers this season and it comes as no surprise to see top European clubs such as Chelsea keen to add him to their squad.
However, recent reports out in Spain from Mundo Deportivo have suggested that the Blues are about to step up their interest and push to bring Cedric over to Stamford Bridge this summer.
Top clubs such as Barcelona and Manchester City have both been linked with Cedric over the course of the season but it looks as though Antonio Conte’s side have expressed a serious interest in the Portugal international.
Cedric signed a new long-term deal at St Mary’s only last summer and has cemented a place in Claude Puel’s starting line-up, but a move to Chelsea could prove to be too tempting to refuse.
The Euro 2016 winner would offer good competition down the right flank to Victor Moses, who has been exceptional this season.
