Thibaut Courtois has been the last line of defence for Chelsea this season as they appear set to clinch a fifth Premier League title – providing they can fend off Tottenham over the final few weeks of the season.
The Belgian has elevated his game to be amongst the world top goalkeepers over the last two seasons and that kind of form will attract interest from Europe’s super-clubs and Real Madrid are keen to sign him.
Courtois, a former Atletico Madrid loanee, is one of Madrid’s top transfer targets as they weigh up for moves him and Manchester United’s David De Gea.
Chelsea want to keep hold of their star stopper this summer and will be offering him improved terms, according to the Daily Mail.
His current £120,000-a-week contract is set to expire in 2019 and the club will do all they can to persuade him to put pen-to-paper on a long-term extension.
