Kurt Zouma was enjoying a great breakthrough season last year before he suffered that horror knee injury which sidelined him for the best part of 10 months.
Since returning to the first-team setup, the Frenchman has been on the outside looking in, making just seven appearances in the Premier League and has seemingly fallen behind Nathan Ake in the pecking order.
Antonio Conte has a settled centre-back trio at the moment and is eager to bring in Virgil van Dijk from Southampton in the summer as well and will make Zouma available for loan to get him some first-tea football, according to the Telegraph.
Capped twice by France, Zouma wants to start playing some regular games at the top level in order to battle his way back into Didier Deschamps’ squad for next year’s World Cup.
With John Terry leaving at the end of the season and Andreas Christensen returning from his two-year loan at Borussia Monchengladbach, Conte acknowledges that he needs to let go of another centre-back to make room for van Dijk’s arrival and Zouma is the man who will make way.
