Chelsea host Middlesbrough on Monday evening, knowing two more victories will secure their fifth Premier League title.
Thanks to West Ham’s 1-0 win over fellow title challengers Tottenham on Friday night, Chelsea are in now touching distance of winning the title, and can win the league as early as Friday. If the Blues beat Middlesbrough, a win against West Brom will ensure Antonio Conte wins the Premier League in his first season and charge.
Chelsea will hope the first of these two victories will come at home to Middlesbrough on Monday. Boro are in desperate need of a win themselves, in order to avoid relegation from the Premier League.
The two sides have already met once this season. A lone goal from Diego Costa gave Chelsea a 1-0 win at the Riverside Stadium in November, and a repeat scoreline would suit Blues fans to the ground.
Ahead of Monday’s fixture, we take a look at Middlesbrough and what threats they could pose to Chelsea.
