Chelsea moved three points closer to the Premier League title on Monday night when they beat Middlesbrough comfortably at Stamford Bridge.
A 3-0 victory with goals from Diego Costa, Marcos Alonso and Nemanja Matic were enough to gift Chelsea all three points, sparking huge celebrations at Stamford Bridge.
There was a feeling of ‘job done’ around the Bridge on Monday night. A win at West Brom on Friday night will now be enough to clinch the title in Antonio Conte’s first season in charge.
The win also meant that Middlesbrough were relegated to the Championship in their first season back in the top-flight.
The visiting side were never in a danger of troubling Chelsea, who could’ve easily scored five or six on the night.
Despite that, Chelsea come away from the game with three points and will now shift their focus to Friday night.
