According to reports coming out of the North East from the Chronicle, Newcastle United are looking to strike a loan deal with a Chelsea duo to add to their squad ahead of their return to the Premier League.
Newcastle will reportedly look to continue their pursuit of midfielder Ruben Loftus-Cheek after Rafa Benitez tried to take him to Tyneside during January’s transfer window.
Chelsea head coach Antonio Conte decided against sending Loftus-Cheek out on loan during the January transfer window with the youngster needed to provide cover. The Italian may revisit the player’s future over the summer after a lack of game time this season.
The second of the two players Benitez is looking to get on from Chelsea is defender Nathan Ake. Newcastle are reportedly keeping an eye on Ake after he had a successful six months at Bournemouth.
Newcastle are beginning to gain strong ties with Chelsea as winger Christian Atsu has just made his return to Chelsea after his loan out to the Magpies. Various sources that Newcastle have until tonight to make the loan permanent if they wish to do so.
