Italian giants AC Milan are preparing to make a bid for Chelsea striker Diego Costa after missing out on Real Madrid’s Alvaro Morata, according to a report from the Evening Standard.
AC Milan are determined to sign a big-name striker this summer and it seems that Costa is the man that they want. Costa, scored 20 goals in the Premier League for Antonio Conte’s men as they stormed their way to the League title in his first season at the club.

However, Costa wasn’t just only influential though his goals. His work rate and unselfishness were also admirable as he registered seven assists in the league in a formidable partnership with Belgian Eden Hazard.

Milan were reportedly close to agreeing a deal for Real Madrid’s Morata but the player confirmed that it wasn’t true after Saturday’s Champions League victory over Juventus in Cardiff.
Costa also insisted recently that if he does leave Stamford Bridge, it will only be for his former club Atletico Madrid, but the club has a transfer ban preventing them from signing new players until January 2018 which means Costa can’t join.
The transfer ban on Atletico has meant AC Milan have upped their interest in Spaniard Costa, as they look to challenge for the Serie A title next season.
It’s no secret that Chelsea have been looking at strikers who could potentially replace Costa. The likes of Romelu Lukaku, Fernando Llorente and Alvaro Morata have all been mentioned as possible Chelsea signings as Conte looks to revamp his attacking options.
