Diego Costa reveals what was said in message sent to him by Antonio Conte

This is the end of season text message Diego Costa received from manager Antonio Conte, according to a report from AS:

Hi Diego, I hope you are well, Thanks for the season we spent together. Good luck for next year but you are not in my plan.

Costa’s simple and blunt reply?

Ok.

These messages were leaked by Costa himself after Spain’s 2-2 draw against Colombia. Costa told the Spanish media he is free to leave Stamford Bridge, despite being Chelsea’s top scorer with 22 goals in 42 appearances in all competitions.

These events over the past week will be welcomed in Madrid and Milan as Atletico and AC are keen on the forward, with Costa’s preferred move being back home to Atletico. However, their current transfer ban complicates the matter.

The Chelsea board are unhappy Costa decided to disclose this information with the press as clubs wishing to sign him now know that the player isn’t wanted by his manager and therefore, the Blues have very little leverage in negotiations.
