Diego Costa could see his move to AC Milan called off after the Italian club have said they cannot afford their strikers wages, according to a report in the Telegraph.
After Spain drew 2-2 against Columbia on Wednesday, it was revealed that Antonio Conte had sent a text to his striker saying that he was free to find a new club.
Earlier this week, it looked like Costa could be on his way to Milan but his wages are creating a problem.

Milan have also said they only want a permanent deal despite reports that Chelsea could allow him to go out on loan.
The player would seemingly prefer a move back to Atletico Madrid but their transfer ban means that he’d have to sit out the first half of the season if he went there and he is reluctant to do so in a World Cup year.
With a move to Milan looking like it’s off the cards, and with Atleti’s ban, it’s difficult to predict where Costa will be playing next season.
