Chelsea are in the market to add an attack-minded midfielder to their squad this summer, especially if the likes of Willian or Ruben Loftus-Cheek leave the club in the summer.
A player they are said to be interested in is Bayer Leverkusen star Hakan Calhanoglu, according to Turkish newspaper Aksam, as quoted by Sky Sports.
The German-born Turkey international midfielder was suspended for a large part of the 2016/17 season but still contributed six goals and five assists in 15 Bundesliga appearances for Leverkusen.
Leverkusen has a disappointing campaign this past season and according to German news outlet Bild, Calhanoglu wants to move to England and play in the Premier League.
Chelsea are among a host of clubs that are interested in signing the 23-year-old, while Lazio have seen a £13.3m bid rejected already as the Bundesliga outfit will only sell if their £22m valuation is met.
Aksam report that Arsenal are interested in Calhanoglu while Bild claim that both Tottenham and Everton are also interested in signing the Turk this summer.
