Brighton chief confirms Abraham interest

Chelsea striker Tammy Abraham is sure to be a wanted man this summer, and Brighton have confirmed their interest in signing him.

The Seagulls’ CEO Paul Barber made it no secret in an interview with The Argus that the club would be keen to land the young forward this summer as they aim to remain in the Premier League next season.

It is no secret he is a player of interest to us. There is a lot of competition for Tammy. He is a terrific talent and fine young player.

Brighton are sure to need extra reinforcements for the season ahead and Abraham would boost their striking options ten-fold.

The England Under-21 international enjoyed a highly successful campaign on loan to Championship side Bristol City last season, and is now hungry to replicate his impressive displays at the very top level.

Abraham has shown over the last couple of years that he has all the makings of a top striker, combining pace and power with a devastating touch in front of goal.

It’s looking as though the Blues are keen to loan him out this summer and with Brighton lacking exceptional firepower, he’d certainly be a shrewd signing.
