Chelsea are reportedly approaching any potential deal involving Romelu Lukaku with caution.
According to the printed edition of French newspaper L’Équipe today, as covered in a report by Sport Witness, the Blues remain coy over shelling out Everton’s huge valuation of the striker and are considering other options.
Although it’s likely that Lukaku is the primary summer target for Antonio Conte for Chelsea, it looks as though the Italian is willing to be sensible with his finances and is determined not to pay over the odds for the Belgium international.

Diego Costa looks to be on his way out of Stamford Bridge in the near future and this has prompted Conte to search for new strikers.
It’s stated in the report that Lyon striker Alexandre Lacazette is a name that is being thought of by Conte, but there is little detail to suggest that a bid is being readied.
Lukaku is likely to cost upwards of £60m this summer.
