Chelsea are set to rekindle their interest in Middlesbrough winger Adama Traore, according to a report from Simon Johnson of the Evening Standard.
The Premier League champions made an enquiry for 21-year-old back in January and it looks like they are set to make another attempt to sign him this summer.
Middlesbrough have put an asking price of around £20million on the Spaniard, although Chelsea would not be willing to pay such a high amount.
However, they will look to negotiate a deal with the relegated side to get the price down as Antonio Conte wants to add at least one more attacking wide player to his squad.
Johnson reports that Conte would have liked to have signed Dries Mertens and even asked the club to make a bid but he was told that signing a 30-year-old for such a high amount wasn’t something that they were willing to do so Traore is the man they’ll look to bring in.
