Chesea have beaten fellow Premier League clubs Manchester United and Manchester City to the signature of highly rated 16-year-old forward Daishawn Redan from Ajax, according to a report on the Express.
The Dutch youngster was a reported target for the Manchester sides but has chosen Chelsea as his next club. The Dutch media are reporting that the forward has signed a contract and will join up with the London club on 1 July.

Redan is considered as one of the brightest talents in the Ajax youth academy but they announced in March that the player would be leaving the club.
The Ajax youth coach, Said Ouaali was disappointed to be losing Redan at such an early stage of his career.
Ouaali said: “We have mapped out a path for him and there have been discussions with him and his management.
“It is extremely regrettable, obviously they have something else on their minds.”
The attacker will be joining a very well established and successful youth setup at Chelsea, who have won the UEFA Youth League in both 2015 and 2016.
The question for Redan is whether he will be given a chance in the first team at Chelsea, who are well known to nurture young talent but then to continue to send them out on loan and eventually sell them permanently.
