Chelsea are eager to bring in another option at left wing-back to ease the pressure on Marcos Alonso next season and have been chasing Juventus star Alex Sandro for much of the summer.
The Blues are yet to agree a fee with the Serie A champions for the Brazilian defender, but they have received a major boost in their pursuit of the player.
According to Gazzetta dello Sport, Juventus seem ready to accept the departure of the 26-year-old – if he makes a formal transfer request.
The 26-year-old is regarded as one of European football’s best left-backs and has broken into the Brazil national side since his £22m move to Juventus two years ago.
It’s believed that Chelsea are now readying a £61m bid for the player in order to fast-track his move to West London.
Chelsea are likely to spend big this summer as they look to defend their Premier League crown and tackle the Champions League scene again, and Sandro is a quality player to add to the squad.
