Paul Clement, having just bagged Tammy Abraham on-loan is now after another Blues youngster in Nathaniel Chalobah.
According to The Mirror, Clement, a former coach at Chelsea, wants to use his ties with the club to bring youngsters to Swansea for regular first team football.
Chalobah, 22, has been at the U21 European Championships with England and certainly would have impressed a lot of teams with his brilliant performances in the heart of the midfield.
With limited opportunities in the Premier League for Chalobah and how Chelsea are close to signing Monaco man Tiemoue Bakayoko for £35million, maybe it’s wise for the young Englishman to seal a loan move in order to get first team football.
The 22-year-old is now in his final year of his contract at Stamford Bridge and will want to push on in order to become an established Premier League player and maybe even try to sneak into the England World Cup squad if he manages to impress in this coming 2017/18 season.
Like many Chelsea players, Chalobah has been on a number of loans already through his career but a move to join former coach Paul Clement and a Swansea side that are known for giving youngsters a go would seem a good move for both clubs.
It’s believed that Chelsea are interested in allowing Chalobah to complete a loan transfer away from Stamford Bridge this summer, and they hope they can agree a new long-term contract with the player before allowing him to leave.
