According to The Daily Star, Brazilian left-back Alex Sandro has now agreed personal terms with the English champions but Juventus desperately still want to keep him.
The 26-year-old is reportedly on the verge of joining Chelsea for £61m, a world-record fee for a defender. The left-back joined Juventus in the summer of 2015 and has since performed consistently well to warrant a lot of teams registering an interest in him.
Juventus really don’t want to lose their Brazilian defender and apparently are waiting for Sandro to confirm he wants the club for Chelsea. If that happens, then Juventus will simply have to step back and let the deal commence.
Rumours are circulating round Chelsea this summer and particularly how they are looking to revamp their defence, whilst also targeting Roma’s centre-back Antonio Rudiger, who recently was part of Germany’s confederations cup winning side.
The champions of England are certainly looking to build on their success from last season and the addition of left-back Alex Sandro would be exactly what Antonio Conte is looking for as a left wing-back.
Should Sandro join the Blues, it will be their second signing of the summer with Willy Caballero also joining from Man City on a free transfer. But these two certainly would be the only new faces at Chelsea as they expect a very busy summer down at Stamford Bridge.
