Diego Costa’s move to Atletico boosted as he’s keen to move

Express Sport have reported that Diego Costa wants to leave Chelsea for Atletico Madrid this summer.

Diego Costa was interviewed whilst on international duty with Spain recently and he said this “I’ll be sincere, The other day I received a text from coach Conte saying I’m not in his plans anymore”.

He went onto say “I will have to leave no matter what. I don’t know where I’ll go, I’ll see but people know I cherish Atletico and I also love living in Madrid”.

This shows that Costa is highly unlikely to be at Chelsea next season if it is true that he is not in Conte’s plans and if it is true he wants to go back to Madrid.

Chelsea have been linked with a replacement for Costa already with Everton striker Romelu Lukaku being heavily linked with a move back to Chelsea.

Costa bagged 22 in 42 last season in all competitions during Chelsea’s comfortable Premier League win under Antonio Conte in his debut season managing Chelsea.

Diego Costa joined Chelsea from Atletico in 2014 but is linked with a move back to the Spanish side only 3 years at Chelsea, scoring 52 in 98 and winning two Premier League titles.
