Izzy Brown impressed during loan spells with Rotherham and then Huddersfield last season, helping the Terriers secure promotion to the Premier League but his future at Chelsea remained uncertain.
Huddersfield were interested in signing Brown in a £8m permanent deal, but it appears as if the chances of that happening are now slim-to-none.
I've been told that Izzy Brown won't be sold by #cfc & is going to join Brighton on loan.#cfc will also hand him a new contract this summer

Simon Johnson of the London Evening Standard has reported that Brown will be joining fellow promoted side Brighton on loan next season, after signing a new long-term contract with Chelsea.

This is a strategy Chelsea often use, as we saw with Tammy Abraham who also recently signed a new long-term contract extension with the Blues prior to completing a loan move to further his footballing development.
Brown is yet to really make his mark at Chelsea but a loan spell with Brighton where the forward can play regular football on the biggest stage in English football will do him the world of good and give Chelsea an idea about whether he can make it at Stamford Bridge in the future.
