Ligue 1 side Rennes have contacted reigning Premier League champions Chelsea over the availability of French striker Loic Remy, according to French paper L’Equipe.
L’Equipe suggest that Chelsea are willing to talk about a possible move away from Stamford Bridge for Remy and Rennes officials are thought to be working hard behind the scenes to bring the forward back to his home nation.
Remy, 30, recently returned from an unsuccessful season-long loan spell at fellow Premier League side Crystal Palace, where his stay at Selhurst Park was troubled by injuries.

The striker has spent the last four years in England, enjoying spells at Queens Park Rangers and Newcastle before moving to Chelsea in 2014 for £8.5 million.
Rennes are in the market for a new striker and are believed to be in talks with Turkish side Besiktas over a possible move for Vincent Aboubakar, however, it seems that Remy is at the top of Rennes’ list this summer.
